CIO Edge Mexico – As the Director of Operations of Latin America of Sensedia what are your main responsibilities?
AG – As the Director of Operations of Latin America I am in charge of the direction of the hold strategy for LATAM and guarantee that the hold operation works for our clients.
CIO Edge Mexico – The universe of possibilities provided by APIs keeps expanding. For many business leaders, they are a permanent asset in their solution architecture landscape. For others, however, it’s still uncharted territory. Can you tell everyone how Sensedia helps Enterprise businesses to improve digital strategies with APIs?
AG – Our team, which specialized in API project consulting, has experience in the most diverse initiatives, industries, and scenarios – which allows us to “Zoom Out” on the client’s operation and, through an Assessment, indicate the best paths – and details that need to be adopted in each journey. Helping companies to not only execute but also prepare for these projects is our main differential and what makes us recognized as Leaders.
CIO Edge Mexico – What is Open Everything and how it goes beyond regulatory mandates to business outcomes?
AG – Open everything refers to an approach that follows the trend of “Open Data” and goes beyond the regulatory frameworks that arise in each country. Open Everything seeks to accelerate innovation by promoting interoperability and creating new business opportunities for companies that decide to open their data, as well as for others that decide to monetize their data. The trend impacts different industries such as banking, insurance, payment methods, retail, health, education, and even government.
CIO Edge Mexico – Which industries can benefit most from Sensedia solutions?
AG – Banking, Payments, Insurance, and Retail are the main industries driving API-based initiatives, once we consider topics such as Bank as a Service, Open Finance, and partner ecosystem strategies, but even other companies from different industries focused in modernize their legacy investing in an agile architecture and to promote better digital experiences to their customers can benefit themselves.

AG – In Sensedia we are not focused on only delivering a SaaS solution, but accelerating our customers API based strategies with “game-changing” consultancy. In Brazil, we have already boosted customer stories in all the biggest industries achieving new revenue streams, better customer experiences, and a high level of partner integration – and this made us recognized by Leaders.
CIO Edge Mexico – This year Sensedia completed 16 years with great success in building an increasingly connected, digital, and open world. How Sensedia seeks to consolidate in Latin America and the US in 2023?
AG – Our expansion plan began in 2020. It began in Peru and Colombia, and in 2022 we arrived in Mexico. We see a great growth opportunity in Latin America due to the strong development of technology and innovation. Companies are betting on being more efficient, productive, and disruptive, three factors in which APIs can help. In addition, we see solid progress in terms of regulations, so we have high expectations on issues such as open banking and the modernization of companies in all sectors.
In this period of time, we have seen that the dynamics are positive when three factors are met: government initiatives or regulatory entities, innovation from private companies, and the interest of people. When these conditions are met, everything progresses faster and the benefit for all the actors is greater.
